Issey Miyake

Pitti Uomo holds a great platform for fahsion designer as they are then exposed and
recognized more by the public. Issey Miyake is one of the most important japanese fashion
designer after World War ll. Instead of exhibiting his collections; it would be a perfect
opportunity for him to celebrate his 50th anniversary displaying his works and creations at
Piazza della Santissima Annunziata, Florence, Italy.
The structure and exhibition method would be base on his philosophical point of view upon
his works and the clothes he designed. The concept of this whole project is “the space
between the human body and the cloth” and because Issey Miyake is japanese, the japanese
architecture elements should not be frown upon.
